JUPITER

Jupiter whis the eldest son of SUN,the first of the giant gaseous planets, has a enormous storm going on it since 1665.It is even known as the "great red spot" of Jupiter.Though Jupiter is a very massive planet it can never become a star, just like a star jupiter has hydrogen and helium in rich amounts but does not really have enough mass to trigger a fushion in it's core.

Some facts about Jupiter

Jupiter has rings:
Jupiter's magnetic field is 14 times stronger than earth's.
Jupiter Has 67 Moons and there might even be some more.
jupiter is the fastest spinning planet in our solar system.
It rains diamonds on jupiter.
The clouds n Jupiter are only about 50 km thick.

Is the rotation speed of jupiter same all over the planet?

No,since Jupiter is a gas planet,it does not rotate as one solid sphere. Jupiter's equator rotates a bit faster than its polar regions at a speed of 28,273 miles/hour.Jupiter's day varies from 9 hours and 56 minutes around the poles to 9 hours and 50 minutes close to the equator!

why are the rings of jupiter invisible?

Unlike Saturn's rings which reflect sunlight,Jupiter's rings are made of moon dust. They're practically invisible. They arent even that as of Saturn's.They were first discovered in 1979 by the Voyager 2 and these rings can only be seen from the strongest of telescopes.
