Uranus

Uranus is a very cold planet, positioning seventh from the sun.Unlike Saturn rings which aare madde up of water ice and some rocky particles, which are even very bright.Comparitively Uranus has very dull rings, and instead of beoing made up of dust those are made up larger chunks, these would really even qualify as boulders. The rings of Uranus are even comparitively thin.

Some facts about Uranus

Why is Uranus blue in color.

Uranus's atmosphere is mostly made up of hydrogen, helium and methane. The methane in Uranus' upper atmosphere absorbs the red light from the Sun but reflects the blue light from the Sun back into space. The other reson which people beleive it is blue,is that, While most planets have rocky molten cores, the center of Uranus is thought to contain icy materials. The liquid core makes up 80 percent of the mass of the planet.

why is Uranus tilted.

The tilt in its axis is possibly caused due to an bump with a Earth sized rocky body. This tilt of nearly 90 degrees causes the most extreme season's in our solar system. It is even the only planet in our Solar system with a right angle to it's orbit.
